Recently in a private Discord, one that members must pay to join, Nick Calandra of Second Wind solicited and encouraged users to directly send him personal identifying information about Mark Kern, aka Grummz.

Nick Calandra Targets Mark Kern's Business Dealings
The information that Nick solicited was posted in the Discord server and exposed to thousands of users. Nick allegedly doxxed one of Kern’s supporters, Gigabear, and up until this writing made zero attempts to refute Kern’s claim. Instead, he is obfuscating the meaning of “Doxxing” to his audience and seems to wrongly insist that doxxing can only be the publishing of one’s home address.

What is Doxxing?

Doxxing is the intentional release of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about an individual without their consent. What information can be doxxed? Here are some examples:

Confidential government identification (ID) numbers (e.g., Social Security or Tax ID number, Resident Registration or Resident Identity Card number)

Address, phone number, and/or email address

Financial information, such as bank account numbers or credit card numbers

So if Nick circulated or shared Gigabear’s email without Gigabear’s consent, this would be doxxing. It can be done privately or publicly, in print or by voice. Typically, a Terms of Service or something similar will grant an entity you sign up with the right to share your data with others. Did Nick Calandra’s Discord server permit him to share Gigabear’s email in the manner in which Nick shared it? This should be easy for him to prove.

When we asked Nick if he would take issue with us publishing his personal identifying information, which was laughably easy to find, he answered encouraging its publication and blocked further inquiries.
Nick Calandra consents to publication of his Personal Identifiable Information
